Signing a new contract at Palermo is at the bottom of the priority list for Fabrizio Miccoli, says his agent.
The veteran striker is only tied to the Rosanero until June and it is unclear whether he will put pen to paper on a renewal.
“Palermo have other problems right now,” Francesco Caliandro told Radio Mana Mana. “They shouldn’t be concerned with Miccoli’s contract.
“The player is very tied to President Maurizio Zamparini and he’d like that to continue, but, for now, let us just allow Fabrizio and the squad to head in the same direction.”
The Sicilian giants, who face island rivals Catania at the weekend without Miccoli, are in the relegation zone – two points adrift of safety.
Miccoli, 33, has scored six goals in 24 games this term.
