Palermo won’t consider what to do with Fiorentina goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano until the season has come to an end.
The Italian international joined the Viola on a loan deal last summer, but it is unclear what his future will hold.
“I firstly want to underline that Viviano is an asset to this club and we’ll defend him until the very end,” Rosanero director Giorgio Perinetti told Radio Sportiva.
“We agreed a price with Fiorentina last summer and now there are two possible roads to go down. It’ll depend on how we end the season.
“It’s premature to be talking about Viviano, though. We need to just focus on the end of the campaign.”
Reports suggest that Fiorentina are hoping to get a discount on the buy-out clause fee which was previously agreed.
Palermo are currently in the relegation zone, two points adrift of safety with six games left.
