Parma have snapped up 17-year-old Venezuelan striker Andres Sampedro on a five-year contract.
“My transfer to Parma happened gradually,” he told lavinotinto.com.
“I arrived at Ternana in 2008-09 and over my 18 months there the club scouts started watching me very carefully.
“From the first day I arrived, the directors told me I would be heading for a more important club. Some of them are now part of the Parma set-up and thanks to them and my agent Carlos Pizzi we were able to conclude the negotiations. I signed a five-year contract with my new club.”
The price-tag is not known, but Sampedro has a Spanish passport and currently plays for Greek team Patanias Chania.
