Mariano Izco has extended his contract with Serie A side Catania, the club have confirmed on Thursday.
The 30-year-old, signed in 2006 from Argentine team Tigre, has put pen to paper on a deal at the Massimino until June 2017.
No other Catania player has made as many appearances in Serie A as Izco, who has presently featured in 183 top-flight games for the outfit.
The 30-year-old, whose previous deal was set to expire in 2014, has scored one goal in 30 games this term.
