Negredo too expensive for Viola

Fiorentina are seemingly out of the bidding race for Sevilla’s Alvaro Negredo due to his asking price.

Reports this week have suggested that whilst La Viola and Napoli were lining up bids for the €18m-rated striker, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Swansea had all also been scouting him.

But Negredo’s agent has today claimed that the Tuscan side have been priced out of a move for the Spain international.

“It is difficult because Sevilla are asking for no less than €15m,” Alejandro Camano told reporters.

“The directors at Fiorentina have not only not discussed Negredo, but they are not usually interest in players at the very top, as is the case with Negredo.”
