Inter fell to their sixth defeat in the last eight rounds, losing 3-1 at the Stadio San Paolo on an evening where they had no available strikers at all.

“Andrea Ranocchia had problems until last night and grit his teeth to play, while Cristian Chivu is in the same situation, so I thank the lads for their efforts,” said the Coach.

“Napoli deserve second place and certainly deserved the victory tonight. Edinson Cavani was fantastic, but Inter played open football until we went 3-1 down and had a little bad luck. It’s a shame, as we had several chances and couldn’t add to our tally.

“The penalty? I wasn’t angry about the decision, but rather that Juan Zuniga wasn’t booked.”
