Catania boss Rolando Maran has revealed that the club are aiming for an eighth place finish come the end of the season.
The Elefanti are currently ninth in the table, two points behind Inter a place above them.
But the Coach has insisted that his team will aim for a top eight finish, but must first concentrate on beating Sampdoria on Monday.
“The aim for us is reaching the top eight,” he told a Press conference. “We are fighting for that.
“To be in the top eight would be amazing for us – but we'll see what happens.
“We still have to try and improve.
“Sampdoria are still fighting for mathematically safety, thus they will have great motivation.
“They play good football, so it's going to be tough for us.”
