Italy will play San Marino in a friendly at the Stadio Dall’Ara in Bologna on May 31.
The town of Bologna is right next to the tiny Republic of San Marino, which is an enclave micro-state within Italian soil covering just 61 sq km.
This game will take place at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) at the Stadio Dall’Ara in Bologna on Friday May 31.
It represents a friendly test for the Azzurri ahead of their World Cup qualifier with the Czech Republic on June 7 and the Confederations Cup, which runs from June 15-30 in Brazil.
Italy have not played in Bologna since June 1999, when they thrashed Wales 4-0 in a Euro 2000 qualifier.
The Nazionale have played ‘neighbours’ San Marino only once before, also a 4-0 result in February 1992.
