President Aurelio De Laurentiis is ready to break the bank in order to keep Edinson Cavani and Walter Mazzarri with rich new Napoli deals.

Both figures are considering their future this summer after securing second place and automatic qualification into the Champions League.

Mazzarri’s contract is up in June and he has repeatedly stated money is not the issue, as he wants a squad capable of challenging for the Scudetto.

According to Sky Sport Italia, De Laurentiis is hoping to convince his Coach with a three-year contract worth €4m per season.

It is suggested Mazzarri already turned down a two-year deal at €3.5m per season.

As for Cavani, he is wanted by Europe’s top clubs and has a €63m buy-out clause in his current contract.

Radio Marte – the official radio station of Napoli – reported today that De Laurentiis will propose an “incredible” new wage deal.

In case that fails, the Partenopei are already looking at 22-year-old River Plate striker Rogelio Funes Mori, who would be available for around €12m.
