Luciano Moggi approves of Juventus’ proposed move for Alessandro Diamanti, but he has doubts over Gonzalo Higuain.

Both attacking players have been paired with the Old Lady, but the club’s former transfer guru has differing views of the Bologna and Real Madrid stars.

“Diamanti has proved himself to be a player who can decide games,” Moggi told Radio Sportiva in an interview.

“He has also shown that he has the right DNA for Juventus, that of a warrior. As for Higuain, he’s a good player but he has nothing of a champion.”

Moggi, however, feels that the club should also be concentrating on selling rather than just buying this summer.

“Those players who are surplus to requirements need to go, especially when you consider that Fernando Llorente has already been signed.

“They need to sell players who they have in excess, perhaps people like Mirko Vucinic, and certainly not players such as Arturo Vidal.”

Spanish international striker Llorente will join on a Bosman once his contract with Athletic Bilbao expires in June.
