Milan have rejected speculation that boss Massimiliano Allegri has held talks about becoming the next Coach of Roma.

The tactician’s future is in doubt and, although his Diavolo contract expires in June 2014, he’s apparently on Roma’s wish-list along with Napoli’s Walter Mazzarri.

There were reports that the former Cagliari” data-scaytid=”5″>Cagliari Coach had discussed the possibility of a summer move to the capital, a theory which has been rubbished.

“With regard to stories published today in a few newspapers, Massimiliano Allegri denies that he has met with any representative of Roma,” a brief statement read.

Allegri, 45, is in his third season at Milan. He won the Scudetto in his first season, came second last term and is currently third with 90 minutes of the campaign left.

Roma, who sacked Zdenek Zeman in February, are looking for a new tactician as they are not expected to confirm Aurelio Andreazzoli in the job.
