Francesco Guidolin knows Udinese must beat Inter tonight to secure European qualification. “It’s our Scudetto.”

The Friulani had a disastrous start to the campaign and did not think they would be in the running for continental competition again, but seven straight wins have put them in a great position.

“It’s our Scudetto we are gambling with in Milan,” said the Coach. “For the third year running we have the opportunity to qualify for Europe, but we are facing Inter, a side who still have quality.

“As always, we will try to give our best. Antonio Di Natale is ready to play and really fired up, even if he hasn’t been in full training this week.

“Luis Muriel had pain in his foot, but trained regularly over the last few days.”

Guidolin has become a firm fixture at the Stadio Friuli, but admits he was once close to taking the Inter job.

“This was a long time ago. At the age of 40 I gladly would’ve gone to be the Coach of Inter. I was not chosen, but I had a meeting and I have absolutely no problem with them.”
