Milan give Antonio Cassano his first start since heart surgery in October, as he partners Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Siena.

FantAntonio suffered a stroke on the way back from his last full match, a 3-2 victory at Roma’s Stadio Olimpico, on October 28.

He has made a couple of substitute appearances, but is thrown into the starting XI alongside Ibrahimovic.

The Rossoneri are without Urby Emanuelson, Alexandre Pato, Robinho, Clarence Seedorf, Massimo Ambrosini, Gianluca Zambrotta, Pippo Inzaghi and Flavio Roma.

Gennaro Gattuso, Djamel Mesbah and Mario Yepes also get rare starts.

Siena are practically safe from relegation and can play with a relaxed state of mind, so could provide a dangerous banana skin for Milan.

Emanuele Calaiò, Pablo Gonzalez, Angelo and Luigi Giorgi are injured with Andrea Rossi sitting out a ban.

Gonzalo Larrondo is picked as the partner for Mattia Destro, moving Franco Brienza into a wider role.

Milan: Abbiati; Abate, Bonera, Yepes, Mesbah; Gattuso, Van Bommel, Muntari; Boateng; Ibrahimovic, Cassano

Siena: Brkic; Vitiello, Rossettini, Terzi, Del Grosso; Grossi, Vergassola, Gazzi, Brienza; Larrondo, Destro
