Inter chief Massimo Moratti has admitted that he is reflecting on what path the club should go down next.

The Nerazzurri have had a disastrous season which has raised doubts about the future of boss Andrea Stramaccioni.

“I've not yet spoken to him nor anyone else,” the Beneamata President said in Milan this morning. “We'll see if, after this season, I have time to sort things out.

“I'm thinking long and hard about what to do. This is a period in which, along with everything else, I'm trying to find a solution.”

Moratti had publicly backed Stramaccioni on numerous occasions in the last few months, but there are whispers that he may now hire available Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri.

“I'm not yet saying that I've changed my mind over the Coach, all I'm trying to do is consider what's happened so I can see what really is in Inter’s best interests at this moment in time.”

Inter finished the season in ninth, having lost 16 games, conceding 57 goals which gave them a -2 goal difference.

“The numbers don't make for good reading? You can't get away from that, I've realised that for myself.”
