Manchester United are said to be preparing an offer for Inter and Italy centre-back Andrea Ranocchia.
The 25-year-old has not had his best season due to injury problems and the Nerazzurri’s disastrous ninth-place finish.
According to TalkSport, new Manchester United manager David Moyes is targeting Ranocchia for his defence next term.
Juventus are also contenders for Ranocchia, who will miss out on Europe if he remains at San Siro.
The defender has been at Inter since 2011 when he completed a £16m move from Genoa.
Strong in the air, he was occasionally used as a striker during Inter’s injury crisis.
