The Azzurri face their neighbours in a friendly match at Bologna’s Stadio Renato Dell’Ara on Friday May 31.

And the governing body have announced that the 41-year-old referee will be the man in the middle.

Borg has only officiated one World Cup qualifier this term, being put in charge for Bosnia’s 8-1 win over Lichtenstein.
