Palermo have dismissed claims that they are on the verge of parting company with boss Giuseppe Sannino.
The tactician, who was sacked after Week 3 of the Serie A season, was recalled to the hotseat in the last few months of the campaign.
Although he wasn’t able to keep the club in the top flight, the Rosanero want to keep hold of him despite the interest of other clubs in his signature.
“We have already met Sannino and discussed plans for next season,” President Maurizio Zamparini commented.
“We spoke about players, possible new signings and those who could possibly stay here with us, as well as other things.
“At no time did we talk about the possibility that he could leave. He has another year on his contract and he’ll stay with us.
“I don’t understand why people are still saying that he could leave.
“We’ll meet again on Monday to finalise our plans.”
