Fiorentina have reportedly secured deals for Malaga star Joaquin and former Bolton full-back Marcos Alonso.
The Viola just missed out on the Champions League play-off spot and are eager to improve their squad for next season, particularly if Stevan Jovetic moves on.
According to the latest reports from Florence, they already have two big signings under their belts.
Joaquin was wanted by several top clubs, but Fiorentina appear to have clinched a deal worth €3m plus performance-related bonuses with Malaga.
He is prepared to take a big pay cut, spreading his €3m per season wages across a three-year contract.
The 31-year-old has over 50 caps for Spain and shot to fame at Betis and Valencia before joining Malaga in 2011.
At the same time, Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso is said to be in Italy undergoing a medical this weekend.
The 23-year-old grew up in the Real Madrid academy and is out of contract following his spell at Bolton Wanderers.
