Italy held an open training session today, with only Stephan El Shaarawy skipping the workout.
Ahead of facing San Marino in Bologna this Friday, the Azzurri continued their third day of training together, with only Milan’s El Shaarawy absent with an ankle injury sustained on Monday.
With the goalkeepers working separately, the main group was split into two, with one composing of Mario Balotelli, Alessandro Diamanti, Daniele De Rossi, Alberto Aquilani, Sebastian Giovinco and Marco Sau.
Both groups alternated in athletic work, shooting practice and muscle toning, with the first group worked much longer than the second on the main pitch.
Mario Balotelli was the last to leave training, following a long discussion with technical staff.
