Fiorentina confirmed Stevan Jovetic “wants a new experience and we’ll try to make him happy,” but Adem Ljajic should sign an extension.
There is a €30m price-tag on Jovetic, who is wanted by the likes of Juventus, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
“Ljajic and Jovetic are two completely different situations, because Jovetic wants a new experience and we’ll try to make him happy, but only if a suitable offer comes in,” said Viola general manager Sandro Mencucci.
“However, we want to renew Ljajic’s contract and will see how that negotiation process evolves.”
Fiorentina narrowly missed out on a Champions League spot and there was a real sense of disappointment on the final round of the season.
“We are certainly happy with our placement, because at the start of the season our maximum target had been Europa League qualification.
“Having reached fourth place with 70 points is something to be satisfied about. Vincenzo Montella is a young Coach who had already done well with Catania and, even if inexperienced, the club considered him to be up to the task of leading our important project.”
