There are reports Roma director Franco Baldini has offered to resign so he can take on a new job at Tottenham.
The transfer guru had been repeatedly linked with Spurs in recent weeks and a move now seems imminent.
According to Sky Sport Italia and La Repubblica newspaper, Baldini has decided to take responsibility for the failed season, which saw Roma lose the Coppa Italia Final and fail to qualify for Europe again.
This morning around 200 Giallorossi fans staged a protest at the Trigoria training ground demanding the directors – particularly Baldini – resign immediately.
Another reason behind his departure is the failure to sign Massimiliano Allegri from Milan, as that deal had been done and appears to have fallen by the wayside.
