There are reports Genoa have sealed a €5m co-ownership deal with Pescara for Juan Fernando Quintero.
The 20-year-old Colombian creative midfielder had been linked with numerous top clubs, including Inter, Juventus, Fiorentina, Roma and PSG.
According to Sky Sport Italia late on Tuesday evening, Genoa President Enrico Preziosi completed negotiations with Pescara patron Daniele Sebastiani.
The Rossoblu will buy out half of Quintero’s contract for €5m with an option to purchase the other 50 per cent.
He only managed one goal in 17 Serie A games for Pescara and could not avoid their relegation into Serie B, but missed almost the entire second half of the campaign due to the Under-20 South American Championship and injury.
It has been an active day for Genoa, who brought in Varese President Antonio Rosati as their new Executive Vice-President and saw President Preziosi smash a camera during an altercation with a journalist.
