Rafael Benitez is the right tactician to inspire Napoli to even more success, says Marek Hamsik.
The Azzurri are at the start of a new era given that Walter Mazzarri left the club for Inter despite leading the Stadio San Paolo outfit into the Champions League.
“Benitez has experience and he we will make this squad even more successful,” the Slovakian international commented.
“We already have a strong team, built to fight for the most important goals. But we want to continuing growing and Benitez is the right man to help us do that.”
Napoli initially put up a title fight in 2012-13, but Juventus eventually emerged as comfortable Scudetto winners.
“The exits from the Europa League and the Coppa Italia were a failure last season, but the result we achieved in the championship was great,” Hamsik added.
“Improving on second place would now mean winning the Scudetto. However, I don’t think that Juventus will be our only title rivals next season – even if they do remain the best in Italy.
“We’ll also have to face Inter, Milan and the two Roman clubs. But you’ll see that we’ll have the enthusiasm to take on everybody.”
