Marco Verratti ignored questions on whether he’ll join Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid. “We’ll see...”
PSG Coach Ancelotti has made it clear he wants to replace Jose Mourinho in Madrid, but so far the French club is refusing to release him.
It’s reported that if the move does go through, Ancelotti will want to bring Italian midfield starlet Verratti with him.
“He is a great Coach, but as far as I know he is still at PSG. If he chooses differently, then I can’t say anything about that,” Verratti told Spanish newspaper AS.
“I am here to play with Italy at the European Under-21 Championships, which is something that I’ll only get to do once in my life, so I am focused on that. After that, then we’ll see.
“We have been working together for two years and are like a family, a group of friends who came here to Israel in order to go as far as possible in the competition.”
The Azzurrini opened the tournament by beating England 1-0 and are therefore top of Group A, while Israel and Norway have a point each.
