Jose Mourinho has sent a message wishing new Inter Coach Walter Mazzarri all the best, confirmed the club.
The Special One has never denied his fondness for the Nerazzurri, where he won the Treble in 2010, even though he has now returned to Chelsea.
However, while he was in Serie A, Mou often clashed with then-Napoli boss Mazzarri in the media.
“At the start of his Nerazzurri adventure, Walter Mazzarri received well wishes from Jose Mourinho who – via technical director Marco Branca – wanted to wish the Coach luck on the Inter bench,” read a statement.
“In turn, Mazzarri thanked him and wished the Portuguese manager the best as he begins his journey at Chelsea.
“This confirms the reciprocal respect between the two Coaches who will meet up leading their teams during the summer American tour.”
Chelsea and Inter go head-to-head in Indianapolis on August 1 as part of the Guinness International Champions Cup.
