Milan are set to fight Fiorentina on the transfer market for Chievo striker Cyril Thereau.
The French forward had already stated this would be his last campaign with the Flying Donkeys, as he is eager to move on to bigger clubs.
Fiorentina had been the hot favourites and a deal was thought to be practically done, including Romulo or Haris Seferovic in the exchange.
However, this weekend Milan have emerged on to the scene and are prepared to hand over Bakary Traoré or M’Baye Niang as part of the transfer.
Thereau netted 13 goals in 38 games this season between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, the 30-year-old's most prolific ever campaign.
