Antonio Di Natale is on the verge of signing a new contract with Udinese, claims the Messaggero Veneto.
Despite suggestions that the striker was considering retirement, he’s agreed an extension until 2015. His previous one was set to expire next year.
Udinese chief Gino Pozzo and the forward’s agent Bruno Carpeggiani held discussions last week where a compromise was reached.
Di Natale, despite being 35, will see his salary rise from €1.3m a season to €1.7m. There are also bonus clauses which could see him net a further €300,000.
The Italian international, 11 goals in 42 caps, has scored 185 goals in 345 appearances for the Stadio Friuli outfit.
He joined Udinese in 2004 from Empoli.
