Walter Samuel has signed a new one-year deal with Inter, the club have confirmed on Thursday.
The Argentine was previously only contracted until the end of this month, but he has now put pen to paper on a new agreement until 2014.
The 35-year-old centre-back, signed from Real Madrid in the summer of 2005, has scored 15 goals in 226 games for the Beneamata.
The decision to extend was expected after boss Walter Mazzarri spoke positively of him during his unveiling as the new Inter boss.
Captain Javier Zanetti yesterday agreed a deal until 2014 as well.
