Moratti: Inter won’t sell Handanovic

Inter chief Massimo Moratti has tightened his club’s grip on goalkeeper Samir Handanovic. “He won’t be leaving.”

There were fresh reports on Thursday that Spanish giants Barcelona, who are looking for a successor to Victor Valdes, were preparing a €23m offer for the Slovenian.

“I don’t think there’s anything to it,” the oil baron told journalists outside of his Saras offices in Milan.

“I also read the newspaper report, but I read a lot of things that aren’t true,” he added. “I can’t deny all of them…

“Handanovic will stay. We don’t need to replace a goalkeeper of this level, we probably need a new midfielder instead.”

The Nerazzurri have been paired with Milan’s Italian international Antonio Nocerino on Thursday.
