Italian media claim Fiorentina and Tottenham could exchange David Pizarro for Scott Parker.
The Viola’s interest in Parker has been rumoured for several weeks and today English newspaper Metro suggested Parker is one of 10 Spurs players up for sale.
Sunderland are among those said to be tracking the 33-year-old midfielder, who has a price-tag of around £4m.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Fiorentina hope to gain the advantage by offering Pizarro in a straight swap.
Chilean international Pizarro suddenly stated at the end of the season that he wanted to leave Fiorentina to seek new challenges.
It was an unexpected turnaround and the Tuscans hope they can use him to bring in England international Parker.
This would be a return to the Premier League for Pizarro, who was on loan at Manchester City from January to June 2012.
