Marco Verratti has determined that even if Carlo Ancelotti were to leave Paris Saint-Germain, it wouldn’t necessarily mean the same for him.
The former Pescara player has been linked with a transfer this summer just 12 months on from moving to Paris, with more than one side in Serie A listed alongside Ancelotti’s intended destination of Real Madrid as interested parties.
Despite last week also hinting that his head could be turned this summer, the Italy Under-21 international today looked to make clear his commitment to his current employers.
“I’ve seen that Ancelotti wants to go to Real Madrid,” reflected Verratti to Rai today.
“If so, I will be happy for him, but my future is not linked to that of the Coach.
“I feel linked to Paris Saint-Germain and I want to stay here.”
