One of Adil Rami’s agents says Napoli have already contacted the Valencia man over a possible move, but they are just one of ‘many’.
The French international centre-back is seen as available at the right price this summer at Mestalla, amid Valencia’s believed need to raise funds to service a significant debt and to cover having failed to make the Champions League.
According to his Italian-based FIFA representative, rumours of Napoli’s interest in recent days is concrete, but not without competition.
“Rami is first on the list of Rafa Benitez,” Vincenzo D’Ippolito told Radio Kiss Kiss today.
“Napoli has already contacted him, but I believe that it is difficult to bring him to the Azzurri.
“The player, though, will take a bit of time to reflect. There are so many teams that want him and so he wants to wait before deciding.
“It is also up to Valencia as well and we’ll see if there will be further opportunities for him to evaluate.
“I spoke with him in the city and explained everything, but we must wait.”
