Giulio Donati would be happy to join Bayer Leverkusen, his representative has confirmed.
The German outfit are understood to have offered Inter, the club who own him, a fee of €3m for his signature.
“It is true, we did meet with Bayer’s Rudi Voeller and the club yesterday,” Silvio Pagliari is quoted as saying on the playermanagement.eu website.
“The negotiations are not complete though, even if I can say that we are at a good point in the proceedings.
“We are waiting for the boy to get back to Italy, but he would be happy with an eventual move to the Bundesliga.”
The defender, who was part of the Italian Under-21 squad at the European Championship, spent 2012-13 at Serie B side Grosseto.
