The Italy and Milan forward has not yet featured in the Confederations Cup and will miss out on the final Group A game.
“I had a problem in training and won’t even be on the bench against Brazil. A kiss to everyone,” he wrote on Twitter.

El Shaarawy had skipped last night’s training session due to a bruised foot.
Italy face Brazil in Salvador this evening at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).
As well as El Shaarawy, the Azzurri are also without the injured Andrea Pirlo and suspended Daniele De Rossi.
