Massimo Ambrosini could become a Fiorentina player by the end of this week, claims the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The midfielder is available on a Bosman free transfer after Milan opted against renewing his expiring contract.
Despite interest from clubs outside of Italy, the Viola have expressed an admiration for the 36-year-old and he’s admitted he would consider an eventual Tuscan offer.
The Gazzetta says that a deal could be wrapped up in the next two or three days for the former Italian international.
Midfielder Ambrosini, who joined Milan in 1995, appeared in 20 League games for the Diavolo in 2012-13.
