Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez admits he would be “very happy” to play in Serie A, as Fiorentina continue their interest.
The German international is likely to have less room in Munich next season and is therefore looking at a move abroad.
“Would I play in Italy? I’d be very happy to do that, I’d like it a lot,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
Gomez has been repeatedly linked with Fiorentina, who are seeking a solid centre-forward to bolster their attack.
However, he is also thought to be of interest to Napoli should Edinson Cavani be sold this summer.
