“We are facing a strong side that is very organised, but at this stage of the competition we are all tired and anything could happen,” said Tabarez in his Press conference.

“We want to do well right to the end and will give our all to conclude this tournament in the best possible way.”

Italy have a record of two wins, three draws and three defeats against Uruguay, most recently a 1-0 friendly loss in Rome in 2011.

There are several members of the Uruguay squad who play in Serie A, including Napoli’s Edinson Cavani, Martin Caceres of Juventus, Palermo forward Abel Hernandez, Inter’s Walter Gargano and Alvaro Pereira.
