The third place play-off is in Salvador de Bahia at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT, 13.00 local time).
Still only 20, the versatile full-back who can play either on the right or left of defence or midfield was one of several players Cesare Prandelli poached from the Under-21 European Championship squad.
“This competition gave me valuable experience and the opportunity to take on different teams and cultures,” said the Milan youth product in his Press conference.
“It also provided me with many emotional moments, as playing at this level does not happen every day.”
De Sciglio was asked about his Italy and club teammate Stephan El Shaarawy, who has lost form and confidence in recent months.
“I think he looks relaxed. He knows what he has to do, knows his potential and always gives 100 per cent in training. He will certainly be ready if called upon.”
