Bafetimbi Gomis’ agent may have denied any interest from Fiorentina earlier today, but it looks as if the striker is leaving Lyon.
The French forward has been linked with a move away from Stade Gerland during this transfer window, with the Viola said to be keen on brining the 27-year-old to Tuscany.
The player’s representative rubbished those reports on Monday morning, but a statement from his club this afternoon has confirmed that the goalscorer was not at the team’s pre-season camp in Tignes.
“Due to the position of the player,” a statement read. “The club have asked him to stay in Lyon to continue preparations and be available for negotiations.”
Gomis has also been linked with a transfer to Tottenham, Shakhtar Donetskh and Monaco.
