Alberto Gilardino has admitted to being flattered by transfer links with Roma, but says a resolution will be reached after his holiday.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs this summer in light of Bologna’s failure to agree a deal to turn their loan of the player from Genoa into a permanent deal.
On from Inter apparently registering interest, recent reports have suggested Roma are also in the bidding.
Returning today from Brazil with the Italian national squad, the striker was quizzed of a move to the capital.
“Every time your name is put up alongside big teams it is pleasure,” Gilardino commented to reporters today.
“Now I am going on holiday, then we will see what will happen.”
The veteran, who endured a difficult spell earlier in his career at Milan, was asked of increasing rumours that have linked Stephan El Shaarawy with a move away from San Siro this summer.
“He’s a very boy, he needs time to grow and I believe that Milan is the place to do it.”
