Emanuele Giaccherini says Italy value their third place finish at the Confederations Cup, as he also recognises his recent form.
The Azzurri have arrived back in the peninsula today after defeating Uruguay on Sunday afternoon to end their Confederations Cup campaign in Brazil with a third place finish.
“We are satisfied with third place, for us it was important to win the final game, after how it went wrong in the semi-finals,” reflected Giaccherini to reporters this evening.
“The World Cup? We will try to win it, definitely.”
The Juventus man has been a notable performer this summer for La Nazionale.
“Of course, this is the best moment of my career.”
