Alejandro Gomez has commented that he wants to leave Catania and that he is flattered by links to Inter and Atletico Madrid.
The two are seen as in competition to pick up the Argentine winger this summer, with Atleti’s interest seen as developing through Diego Simeone’s previous working record with the 25-year-old.
Now, the winger has made clear that his intention is to leave his current employers.
“After three seasons at the highest level with Catania, now I am going to go to a top club,” Gomez has told Fox Sports this week.
“It is incredible that teams like Atletico and Inter have been interested in me.”
