Former Roma and Italy star Giuseppe Giannini is the new Coach of the Lebanon national team.
Known by Giallorossi fans as ‘Il Principe,’ Giannini put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the side that is 131st in the FIFA World rankings.
“I am very satisfied, as I have two years to help the Lebanon team grow,” he told Calciomercato.it.
“I found players who are technically gifted and very quick. I will try to help them improve on a tactical and professional level.
“The Federation did not ask me to win, but to aid a generation of players to grow up and lay the foundations for a better future.”
Giannini has struggled during his management career, having brief spells with Foggia, Sambenedettese, Romanian team Arges Pitesti, Massese, Gallipoli, Verona and Grosseto.
