Udinese confirmed Napoli “asked us about Antonio Candreva,” who is co-owned with Lazio.
The versatile midfielder can play as part of an attacking trident, in the middle or the right wing and was very impressive in the Confederations Cup.
“There was an initial approach when Napoli asked us about Candreva, it’s true,” Udinese director of sport Cristiano Giaretta told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“However, it’s also true to say there are no concrete negotiations. Antonio is an important player, but we have to evaluate the situation.”
Napoli could attempt to buy up Udinese’s half of Candreva, although Lazio have no intention of releasing him.
