Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has praised new Coach Gennaro Gattuso, calling the former midfielder 'intelligent and humble'.
The ex-Milan man was named as Giuseppe Sannino's successor at Renzo Barbera last month, and the Sicilian side's owner has gone to some lengths to keep the 35-year-old on the island.
“Gennaro is working with great enthusiasm,” he told Radio Radio. “He has not gone on a summer holiday to try and build this team.
“He is a humble and intelligent man, and will become an example for other Coaches to follow.
“If he goes to Milan [as their Coach] I have already said I will sell my villa in Vergiate!”
