It’s reported Edinson Cavani’s agents have flown to Paris, but PSG director Leonardo has officially resigned.
According to SportMediaset, Cavani’s representatives are setting off for Paris today in order to complete his transfer.
Napoli would earn €64m – one more than the buy-out clause in his contract due to red tape issues – and the player a contract worth €10m per season.
Newspapers in France also believe an announcement could arrive as early as this evening.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are in turmoil after director of sport Leonardo handed in his resignation.
The decision came after former Inter and Milan Coach Leonardo received a 13-month ban for pushing a referee in the players’ tunnel following a game.
It had originally been nine months, but was increased after a failed appeal.
“We regret his choice but respect his decision and wish him all the best for his future career choice,” read the PSG statement.
