There are reports Roma want Douglas Maicon on loan, while Fiorentina’s David Pizarro could return to Manchester City.
The Citizens are the subject of two rumours doing the rounds of Italian media this afternoon.
Transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio suggests Roma have renewed their interest in former Inter right-back Maicon.
This link had already emerged over the summer, but is now back in the headlines with reports of a loan deal that would have City pay a percentage of his wages.
On the other hand, Sky Sport Italia claim Manchester City are in talks with Fiorentina director of sport Daniele Pradè over Pizarro.
The Chilean midfielder stated at the end of the season that he wanted to leave Florence for a new challenge.
Offers have not been satisfactory so far, but the Viola are considering sending Pizarro back to Eastlands.
He spent six months with City from January to May 2012, on loan from Roma, making just five Premier League appearances.
