Udinese have released a statement insisting there is no issue with Francesco Guidolin following the Coach's extended break.

The tactician is not due to return to pre-season training until July 18, and reports in Gazzetta dello Sport earlier on Saturday had suggested it was because of friction between the boss and the board.

The club though, have claimed that this is not the case, as a statement on their website read:

“Udinese state that the decision of the Coach to withdraw until July 18 has been agreed with the club and is all part of the protocol.

“It should be known that there is no 'irritation' from the leadership of the club.

“Instead, there is irritation at journalistic speculation about a story of which there is nothing mysterious.”
