Newly promoted Livorno have decided not to sell Paulinho after opting to extend his contract instead.
The forward was being linked with a variety of outfits in Italy and abroad, but the Tuscans have tightened their grip on him.
The Brazilian striker, who was tied to the club until June 2015, has now committed himself to the Amaranto until 2018.
The 27-year-old was signed in 2004 from Juventude. The former Grosseto and Sorrento player has netted 48 goals in 148 games for the club.
