Cagliari have officially sold striker Thiago Ribeiro to Brazilian club Santos.
The transfer was completed this morning and, although no financial details were confirmed by the clubs, it’s believed the fee was €3.5m.
He was seen as the alternative to Robinho, as Santos gave up their attempts to sign the Milan forward earlier this month.
Thiago Ribeiro is 27 years old and has signed a contract holding him to Santos until June 2018.
In the 2012-13 Serie A season he scored two goals in 29 games, plus three in three Coppa Italia appearances.
